Ananda

Music Student

New Jersey, USA

Ever since she was three years old, Ananda had begged to play the flute. Traditional metal flutes are too heavy and large for such young beginners so she was going to have to wait a few years to start her flute learning. Ananda began piano lessons in the meantime and progressed quickly but still had a desire to play the flute like her mom.

At five years old, Ananda discovered the NUVO Toot! She advanced quickly with the Firstnote (recorder-style) lip plate which allowed her to focus on learning new melodies. After only two weeks, she progressed to the NUVO jFlute so she could play more high notes. The transition was easy and she has been learning new music quickly ever since. Ananda practices her jFlute everyday and at five years old is an inspiration to us all!

Carolyn Storer

Music Teacher

Wirral, United Kingdom

Carolyn has over 20 years of curriculum and instrumental teaching experience. She is a peripatetic teacher, band leader and SEND music teacher. As a saxophone specialist she particularly likes the opportunities the jSax offers to young players. “The jSax enables children the chance to begin the saxophone at a much younger age. Its durability, lightweight construction and compact size make it ideal for the younger player – but its not compact on sound. It is very rewarding for the child to hear they are making such an authentic saxophone sound. With the cost and quality of sound of the jSax compared to a ‘student saxophone’, it really is a great little instrument.”
